Living in Baie-D'Urfé
Baie-D'Urfé is named after François-Saturnin Lascaris d'Urfé, a Sulpician priest and the area's first parish priest; its origins date back to 1686. The town received its charter in 1911, was merged with Beaconsfield in 2002, then re-established in 2006. It extends to Lake Saint-Louis and keeps a rural character, with large lots and homes in varied styles. North of Autoroute 20, an industrial park occupies about a third of the territory.
