Saint-Calixte is located on the first foothills of the Laurentians, in the north of the Montcalm RCM. The territory was first the Township of Kilkenny, settled by the Irish in the mid-19th century, and its stone church with neo-Gothic decor was inaugurated in 1885. More than 25 named lakes, including Lac Cristal, Lac Beaudry and Lac Bellevue, have shaped a long tradition of vacationing. Permanent residents now live alongside cottage owners.

Officially opened in 2025 on the site of a former quarry, this 13 km² park offers trails, lakes and a river that are accessible in all seasons. You can hike in summer, then cross-country ski and snowshoe in winter, with a heated welcome pavilion.
