Real estate broker inDorval

What I love about Dorval is the contrast between the airport next door and the calm of the streets along Lake Saint-Louis.

Living in Dorval

Settled as early as 1667, Dorval is considered the oldest city in the west end of the island of Montréal. A village in 1892, a town in 1903 and then a city in 1956, it was transformed by the arrival of the airport, which now occupies about 60% of its territory. Its residential areas extend mostly near Lake Saint-Louis. You'll find families as well as airport-sector workers and frequent travellers.

My favourite spot in Dorval

Dorval Museum of History and Heritage

Museum

Housed in the former stables of the Forest and Stream Club, built in 1874, the museum tells more than three centuries of local life through objects, photos and archives. Admission is free and the site, on Lakeshore Road, offers a lakeside stop.

« The Dorval museum is a good starting point for understanding the city: you see how a lakeside village became Montréal's air gateway. »
