Real estate broker inBois-des-Filion

I like Bois-des-Filion because you can still find the spirit of the old resort town: the rivière des Mille Îles is at the end of the street.

Living in Bois-des-Filion

Bois-des-Filion owes its name to Antoine Feuillon, a carpenter who arrived in 1684, whose name was transcribed as "Filion," and to the maple grove he received from the seigneurs. In the mid-20th century, its beaches on the rivière des Mille Îles drew many vacationers; in 1949, there were more seasonal than permanent families. Having become a city in 1980, it is a compact municipality of under 5 km² facing Laval, linked by the pont Athanase-David. You will find families, commuters and retirees attached to being close to the river.

My favourite spot in Bois-des-Filion

Parc Riverain de Bois-des-Filion

Riverside park

This park on the banks of the rivière des Mille Îles is the starting or ending point of a roughly 7.5 km kayak or paddleboard trip toward Terrebonne, offered in summer. Its service centre, opened in 2021 with Éco-Nature, also serves as a welcome point for nature observation.
