Living in Lac-Mégantic
Lac-Mégantic is the seat of the Le Granit RCM and extends along the shore of Lake Mégantic, in the heart of a region of forests, lakes and mountains. Marked by the July 2013 rail disaster, which took 47 lives, the town has undertaken the rebuilding of its downtown. It brings together the services of a regional capital: a hospital centre, a college studies centre and shops. You will find established families, workers from the region and outdoor enthusiasts drawn by the lake and Mont Mégantic.

On the shore of Lake Mégantic, the resort combines a developed beach, a large campground and a network of about 18 km of hiking trails. Visitors can rent sailboats, kayaks and canoes to discover the lake in a different way.
