Real estate broker inSainte-Adèle

In Sainte-Adèle, I always look at which side of the city a property is on: the old village of Sainte-Adèle and the former industrial village of Mont-Rolland do not have the same history, or the same market.

Living in Sainte-Adèle

Founded in the mid-19th century on land acquired by the politician Augustin-Norbert Morin, Sainte-Adèle is also the setting of Claude-Henri Grignon's famous Un homme et son péché. Since 1997, the city has combined two former villages: Sainte-Adèle, developed around its institutions, and Mont-Rolland, born around the mills, including the Rolland paper mill. The arrival of the Canadian Pacific train in 1891, followed by the rise of skiing and grand hotels such as Le Chantecler, made it a resort hub. Today you will find permanent residents, families, retirees and commuters who take advantage of Highway 15.

Skiing and outdoors

Ski Chantecler, the Sommet Gabriel and the Plein Air Sainte-Adèle network offer alpine skiing, mountain biking and trails right on the city's territory.

Heritage

The City documents the history of its two former villages, Sainte-Adèle and Mont-Rolland, through more than 40 heritage building profiles.

My favourite spot in Sainte-Adèle

Place des citoyens et parc Claude-Henri-Grignon

Cultural and community venue

Opened in 2013, the Place des citoyens is a glulam timber building housing multipurpose rooms, a tourist information office and a covered esplanade where shows and events are held. Together with the neighbouring parc Claude-Henri-Grignon, it is the gathering place of the Adèle community all year round.

« What I appreciate about Sainte-Adèle is that it has a real downtown, with its Place des citoyens and its services, while being a few minutes from the slopes and trails. »
