Real estate broker inMcMasterville

In McMasterville, I see a small town where you can take the train to Montréal in the morning and walk along the Richelieu in the evening, facing Mont Saint-Hilaire.

Living in McMasterville

McMasterville was born in 1917 to house the workers of Canadian Explosives Limited, an explosives plant that operated until 1998; the town is named after the company's first president, William McMaster. On the west bank of the Richelieu, it faces Mont Saint-Hilaire and Otterburn Park. Its compact territory, crossed by Route 116 and the railway, is mostly residential. It's home to families and commuters drawn by the exo station that opened in 2000.

My favourite spot in McMasterville

Promenade des Porteurs-d'Espoir

Riverside promenade

This wooden boardwalk runs along chemin du Richelieu, with a lookout, benches and lounge chairs, and offers a direct view of Mont Saint-Hilaire. Panels tell the story of McMasterville's beginnings, and its name was among the Commission de toponymie's favourite place names in 2023.
