Living in Pierrefonds-Roxboro
The borough was created in 2006 by merging the former cities of Pierrefonds and Roxboro, in the northwest of the island, along the Rivière des Prairies. Roxboro developed more than a century ago around its train station, while Pierrefonds owes its name to a château built in 1902 modelled on the Château de Pierrefonds in France. You'll find 1960s neighbourhoods with mature trees, more recent developments and three large nature parks. It is a bilingual borough, popular with families and outdoor enthusiasts.
