Living in Saint-Philippe
Saint-Philippe traces its origins to the seigneury of La Prairie-de-la-Magdeleine; the first families settled here in 1667 and the parish was founded in 1744. Its territory, mostly zoned agricultural, is crossed by the Rivière Saint-Jacques and bordered by the Rivière de la Tortue. Incorporated as a city in 2016, it has grown rapidly with new neighbourhoods around the village. Families and people who want space find a rural setting close to the main highways.
