What I love about Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines is that you live in town while still having strawberry fields at the end of the street.

Living in Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines

Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines occupies the north of the Thérèse-De Blainville RCM, nearly half of whose territory it covers. Its parish was founded in 1787 on the lands of the seigneury des Plaines, granted in 1731, and you can still find a church from 1899-1902, a presbytery from 1887 and the former convent that became city hall. Renowned for strawberry growing, the city keeps a countryside character around a lively urban core along boulevard Sainte-Anne. You will find mostly families and commuters who work on the North Shore or in Laval.

FraiseBec

Pick-your-own farm

Founded more than 40 years ago on rang Lepage, this family business has become one of the largest strawberry producers in Canada. From June to the end of October, you can pick your own strawberries and raspberries, an outing that sums up Sainte-Anne-des-Plaines' agricultural identity well.
