Real estate broker inPrévost

I find Prévost has something unique: you live at the foot of the cliffs, between the rivière du Nord and the P'tit Train du Nord, a few minutes from Saint-Jérôme.

Living in Prévost

Prévost was born in 1973 from the merger of Shawbridge, Lesage and the former municipality of Prévost. Shawbridge owes its name to William Shaw, who settled in the township of Abercromby in 1847, and to its bridge over the rivière du Nord. The arrival of the Canadian Pacific in 1892 made it a summer and winter resort. Today, the city attracts families and outdoor enthusiasts who want the nature of the Laurentians without moving away from the services of Saint-Jérôme.

My favourite spot in Prévost

Parc des Falaises (massif des falaises de Prévost)

Nature and hiking

The Prévost cliffs, in the mont Shaw area, are among the closest climbing sites to Montréal, and a network of trails leads to viewpoints over the valley. The Comité régional pour la protection des falaises, a volunteer organization, watches over the nature reserve and its trails.

« What I appreciate about Prévost is that you can set out on foot from the old station to climb mont Shaw: few cities so close to Montréal offer this kind of playground. »
