Living in Saint-Rémi
Settled from 1815 onward, Saint-Rémi has become the service centre of Les Jardins-de-Napierville, surrounded by market gardens, orchards and sugar bushes. It played an important role during the Patriote rebellions of 1837-1838. Its neoclassical church, built from 1836 to 1840, and the former Collège Saint-Viateur bear witness to this past. Residents include families, retirees and agri-food workers, drawn by a complete town surrounded by countryside.

Religious heritage
Built between 1836 and 1840 in the neoclassical style, with bell towers redesigned in 1854, it forms the historic heart of rue Notre-Dame together with its Second Empire presbytery. The RCM's heritage circuit lets you discover it along with the cemetery, the former Collège Saint-Viateur and several historic houses.
