Sainte-Martine lives to the rhythm of the Rivière Châteauguay, and I love introducing this farming village to people who want the countryside with all the services.

Established as a parish municipality in 1855, Sainte-Martine grew along the Rivière Châteauguay, which winds through the heart of the village. It bills itself as the regional agricultural capital, and the Fête des Moissons celebrates that character every fall. Several parks provide access to the river, and a Patriotes memorial recalls local history. Residents include families, retirees and farmers, in the village as well as in the Laberge and Domaine-de-la-Pêche-au-Saumon areas.
