Living in Charlemagne
With barely more than 2 km², Charlemagne is a small, dense city located near the confluence of the Rivière des Prairies, the Mille Îles River, the L'Assomption River and the St. Lawrence River. Born around a sawmill established around 1870, it was tied for more than sixty years to the lumber industry, before taking the name Charlemagne in 1907 and city status in 1969. It is known as the birthplace of Céline Dion, whose name a boulevard has borne since 2007, and of Camille Laurin. First-time buyers, families and retirees appreciate its proximity to Montréal and the services of Repentigny.

Park
This is Charlemagne's most complete park: water play, a skatepark, a basketball court and lit soccer fields in summer, a slide and an outdoor rink in winter. A good example of what the city offers families despite its small area.
