Real estate broker inWindsor

What stays with me about Windsor is a paper-mill town that has managed to keep a forest and a river a stone's throw from home.

Living in Windsor

Windsor is crossed by the Saint-François River and the Watopeka River. Its industrial history begins in the 1860s with a paper mill founded by William Angus and Thomas Logan, which later became a Domtar plant. From 1864 to 1922, a black powder factory was also in operation here, and its remains now form a historic park. The town attracts families and workers from the Sherbrooke area who are looking for a well-served small town.

My favourite spot in Windsor

Parc historique de la Poudrière de Windsor

Historic site and nature

The park preserves the remains of a former black powder factory, with an interpretive trail and trails along the Watopeka River. In winter, it is used for cross-country skiing and snowshoeing.
