Real estate broker inCandiac

Candiac was planned from the very start, and you can feel it when I tour it with buyers: quiet streets, well-designed parks and the river close by.

Living in Candiac

Candiac was created in 1957 on the initiative of Canadian and European investors who bought former farmland to build a planned city. Its name recalls the birthplace of the Marquis de Montcalm, in France. Bordered by the St. Lawrence and served by the terminus of the commuter train line, it is developing a transit-oriented neighbourhood around its station. Many families and professionals who work in Montréal live here.

My favourite spot in Candiac

Parc André-J.-Côté

Riverside park

This park runs along more than 700 metres of St. Lawrence shoreline, with a trail of about 2.6 km, a natural beach and an observation platform. Along the way, you'll also come across a century-old house and a fountain.

« Parc André-J.-Côté is where I take people who think Candiac is just a suburb: a few steps and you're on the riverbank. »
