Real estate broker inSherbrooke

What I love about Sherbrooke is that it offers a true university city, a major hospital centre and neighbourhoods where the river is never far away.

Living in Sherbrooke

Sherbrooke grew up at the confluence of the Magog and Saint-François rivers, a source of waterpower that drew factories and textile mills as early as the 19th century. The regional hub of the Eastern Townships, the city has been organized since 2017 into four boroughs, from the rural Brompton sector to Lennoxville, with its English-speaking heritage. Two universities, the Université de Sherbrooke and Bishop's University, along with the Cégep de Sherbrooke, bring a large student population here every year. You will meet as many students and young professionals as families and retirees drawn by the services of a big city on a human scale.

Education and health

Université de Sherbrooke, Bishop's University, Cégep de Sherbrooke and the Centre hospitalier universitaire de Sherbrooke (CHUS).

My favourite spot in Sherbrooke

Musée de la nature et des sciences de Sherbrooke

Museum

Housed since 2002 in the former Julius Kayser silk stocking factory, built in 1915, the museum presents interactive exhibits on wildlife, plants and science. It is a great way to discover both Quebec's natural world and the industrial past of the downtown core.

« I love the idea of a science museum occupying a former silk stocking factory: that is Sherbrooke in a nutshell, a manufacturing city that reinvented itself around knowledge. »
