Real estate broker inMont-Saint-Hilaire

Mont-Saint-Hilaire is the city where I recommend everyone climb to the summit at least once to see the Richelieu Valley from above.

Living in Mont-Saint-Hilaire

Mont-Saint-Hilaire grew at the foot of the mountain of the same name, designated Canada's first UNESCO biosphere reserve in 1978. A former seigneury granted to Jean-Baptiste Hertel de Rouville in 1694, the city was the birthplace of major artists such as Ozias Leduc and Paul-Émile Borduas. Orchards, cider houses and residential neighbourhoods share the slopes of the mountain and the banks of the Richelieu. The commuter train terminus also makes it a city prized by commuters.

The exo station, terminus of line 13, connects the city directly to Montréal's Gare Centrale, and Autoroute 20 runs nearby.

Musée des beaux-arts de Mont-Saint-Hilaire

Founded in 1993, the museum showcases artists from the region such as Ozias Leduc, Paul-Émile Borduas and Jordi Bonet.

Maison Paul-Émile-Borduas

The house designed and built by the painter in the early 1940s is now a cultural venue open to visitors.

Orchards and cider houses

The orchards along chemin de la Montagne, such as Les Vergers Petit et Fils, draw families for pick-your-own apples every fall.

« I find that few cities in the Montréal area offer an old-growth forest of this scale just minutes from people's homes; it's a real distinguishing feature of Mont-Saint-Hilaire. »
