Living in Rivière-des-Prairies–Pointe-aux-Trembles
The borough occupies the eastern tip of the island of Montréal, between the Rivière des Prairies and the St. Lawrence River. Rivière-des-Prairies was annexed to Montréal in 1963 and Pointe-aux-Trembles in 1982, before the borough was created in 2002. Old Pointe-aux-Trembles, with its mill dating from 1719, is a reminder of one of the island's oldest settlements. Vast and airy, the territory attracts mostly families and buyers who want space and access to the water.
