Real estate broker inSainte-Sophie

I like to present Sainte-Sophie as a municipality where you can still find space, lakes and farms, a few minutes from Saint-Jérôme.

Living in Sainte-Sophie

Sainte-Sophie is named after Sophie Raymond Masson, seigneuress of Terrebonne, who granted land to settlers starting in 1847. As early as 1821, Scottish and Irish settlers had established themselves along the rivière Jourdain, and then Jewish families from Eastern Europe developed farming and vacationing in the early 20th century. In 2000, Sainte-Sophie and the village of New Glasgow reunited, recovering the original territory. Having gone from an agricultural setting to a semi-urban one, the municipality now attracts families looking for more space.

My favourite spot in Sainte-Sophie

Les Fromagiers de la Table Ronde

Cheese maker and farm

On this family farm in Sainte-Sophie, run by the same family since 1922 and certified organic since 2000, raw-milk cheeses such as the Rassembleu are made. The shop lets you watch the cheese makers at work and picnic with a view of the herd.

« A farm run by the same family for over a hundred years says a lot about Sainte-Sophie: it is a place where people put down roots. »
