Saint-Michel suits people who want a rural or village lifestyle, often families or people working in agriculture. The municipal sewer system only arrived in 2011 and doesn't serve the entire territory: outside the village, you need to check the septic tank, the leaching field and the well water quality. In the agricultural zone, CPTAQ rules govern what can be built or subdivided.
Religious heritage
Built in 1855-1856 and attributed to architect Victor Bourgeau, the church has kept its painted decor by Toussaint-Xénophon Renaud. Acquired by the municipality in 2014, it now houses the library while remaining a place of worship.
